Dakshana selects students for the Coaching Scholarship Program, before completing Class 12 through the Joint Scholarship Selection Test (JSTST).

Joint South Selection Examination (JDST)
JDST is held in December every year at various school locations in each state across India. Students are either invited to take the exam directly through their schools under an agreement with the state government or they can apply directly and wait for the invitation. If your school wants to get details about the invitation process, please ask your school principal to send an email to jdst@dakshana.org using "Students for JDST" in the subject line.

Currently, JDST is conducted at two levels:

JDST-JNV: Currently for students in class 12 (science) at a Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in every district of India. Students get an invitation to the entrance examination based on their performance in the class 12 internal exam. These results come directly from JNV through the NVS Regional Office.
JDST-Government. School: For students of all boards and all government school systems except Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.
