FELLOWSHIP YEAR OVERVIEW
Dakshana selects students for coaching while they are in the tenth grade, based on their performance in Dakshana's proprietary test - Navodaya Dakshana Selection Test (NDST).

Navodaya Dakshana Selection Test (NDST)
NDST is held simultaneously in 80+ centers across India, usually in December every year. The test is divided into four parts: logical reasoning, mathematics / biology, physics and chemistry. Subject-related questions follow the NCERT syllabus of class 9 and class 10, although the difficulty level may be higher for the questions.

Eligibility
Through its schools, Dakshana invites JNV students for NDN on the basis of merit in internal examinations during classes 9 and 10. Dakshana accepts these results from JNVs only through their respective NVS regional offices. Non-JNV students are not eligible for this program.

Process
After being invited for NDST, a JNV student has to fill the NDST application form on the DKST website. The Dakshana website posts the list of students invited for NDST, a month before the test. Results of NDST are usually declared in the first week of April / May. A scholar, who gets the opportunity of Daksha coaching, then goes to a designated JNV, where Dakshana provides world-class quality preparation for the IIT or Medical Entrance Examination.
